Thank you for your interest in the Accelerated Academic Program for Leadership and Enrichment (AAPLE Academy) at San Marcos High School. Academic motivation and drive and a strong interest in leadership and service in the community are necessary for admission to AAPLE. Applicants acknowledge that the AAPLE Academy’s 4-year academic pathway is rigorous, and apply knowingly committed to this very challenging grouping of coursework, mandatory participation in leadership activities and study, and community service commitments.

- SBUSD Programs Showcase: 11/5/25, 5-7pm, at Earl Warren Showgrounds.
- AAPLE Information Night: 11/20/25 @ 6pm in the AAPLE Academy (room i5), parents and students welcome.
- SMHS 8th Grade Open House: 12/10/25 @ 6pm in the SMHS Auditorium
- SMHS Principal Led Campus Tours: Please reach out to the SMHS front office if you need any additional information. Dates: 11/12 (11:00 to 12:00), 11/20 (11:00 to 12:00), 12/3 (11:00 to 12:00), 12/17 (11:00 to 12:00), 1/14 (11:00 to 12:00)

Intradistrict Transfers
Very important! Students applying who do not reside within the San Marcos High School attendance area are required to submit a transfer request to the Santa Barbara Unified School District.
